This has been a painful week for women across the world.  

Dixon Transition Society mourns the loss of Sarah Everard, Ashley Yaun, Xiaoje Tan, Daoyou Feng, and the other Asian women murdered in the senseless act of violence against women we witnessed in Atlanta on March 16, 2021.

We send our most heartfelt condolences to their families and friends in this difficult moment. 

The events of the past week implore us to continue fighting for a world free of violence against women. We understand that the murders of these women are not isolated events, but rather reflect an enduring pattern of misogyny and patriarchy in society that leave women at risk of violence—whether they are at work, walking home, or following their dreams.  

We also recognize the intersectionality of women’s experiences of violence, and remain committed to providing culturally sensitive support and advocacy for every woman that walks through our doors. 

We are always learning from our clients, and look forward to remaining a space where women of all backgrounds feel supported and empowered to begin living lives free of violence.
