On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Dixon Transition Society will join thousands of runners at the BMO Vancouver Marathon, one of the world’s top destination running events. Known for its breathtaking shoreline views, snow‑capped mountains, cherry blossoms, and vibrant neighborhoods, the BMO Vancouver Marathon offers participants a truly “Stunning Running” experience.

This year, Dixon is honored to be part of the Marathon’s charitable community through RUN4HOPE, with a goal of raising $25,000 in support of women and their children fleeing violence.

Running With Purpose

A marathon is more than a race—it is a journey of endurance, courage, and resilience. These qualities align profoundly with the lived experiences of the women, and their children Dixon supports every day. Just as runners navigate hills, distance, and fatigue, survivors of violence navigate emotional, financial, and systemic barriers as they work toward safety and independence.

For Dixon, participating in this iconic event is not just about crossing a finish line—it’s about raising awareness, amplifying the voices of survivors, and bringing our community together to create meaningful change.

Run & Fundraise Through RUN4HOPE

The RUN4HOPE charity program is at the heart of the BMO Vancouver Marathon’s social impact mission. It empowers participants to Run & Fundraise for causes that matter, helping charities raise funds while fostering a shared spirit of community celebration. RUN4HOPE has already helped runners collectively raise over $16 million for charities—an inspiring testament to what is possible when people unite for good.

By joining Dixon’s RUN4HOPE team, participants support essential services for survivors of violence, including:

Safe Housing: Emergency shelter and transitional housing that provide immediate safety and stability
Counselling & Trauma-Informed Support: Advocacy, emotional support, and mental-health resources that help survivors rebuild confidence.
Essential Daily Resources: Food, clothing, childcare, and life-skills programs that empower women and their children to re-establish independence.

Every step taken and every dollar raised through RUN4HOPE directly supports families rebuilding their lives with dignity and hope.

Whether you run, walk, donate, or cheer, your involvement matters. Your support fuels Dixon’s ability to offer life‑changing programs for women and their children escaping violence.

Together, we can transform this year’s marathon into a powerful movement for safety, resilience, and community care.
