It is with both regret and excitement that I say goodbye to Dixon Transition Society. For nearly a decade I have had the privilege of being the Executive Director at this amazing organization. I arrived to find an incredible, fierce group of women who were committed to serving women and children and working to end domestic violence. I knew then that our journey will be one filled with joy, growth and learning.
Fast forward to today. I leave this organization in the hands of women who are smart, capable, kind, considerate, passionate and as committed as ever to serving women and children fleeing violence, supporting the creation of a healthy community for all and working towards ending domestic violence. Dixon and its clients are in great, loving hands!
Dixon has always had deep roots in the community and over the years it has been the community, donors and supporters like you, that made our work possible. Engaging with donors, funders, volunteers and business community that has supported Dixon’s work has been one of the greatest joys of this job for me and I will carry all of you in my heart.
And, of course, forever etched in my soul will be the many women and children Dixon has served throughout the years. I am humbled and inspired by your courage, strength and drive to make life safe for you and your children despite the many challenges you faced and continue to face along the way. Hang in there and know that Dixon and its staff will always be there for you with open arms.
Thank you, everyone, for your support and I hope to see you at future Dixon events.
Stay safe and healthy everyone.
Sincerely,
Pany Aghili
