On Thursday, October 11, Dixon Transition Society hosted its Donor & Volunteer Appreciation Event for 2018.
We say it again and again, because it’s true: Dixon cannot do what we do without the support of our incredible donors and volunteers. We have an amazing community of people who give to Dixon. They give their time, expertise, money, sometimes all of the above and even more.
We are so happy to have the opportunity to appreciate our donors and volunteers at our Appreciation Event. We offered refreshments, door prizes (thanks to some generous donors, once again), and a special presentation on research findings from an evaluation of our Second Stage Housing program.
Dixon is a community, both within the housing facilities and among the people who support our programs. We were so happy to get to know our donors and volunteers better, and we were delighted to see donors and volunteers getting to know each other, as well.
Thank you so much again to all of our guests who took time out of their day to come and be with us, and thank you for everything you do to keep women and children safe and free from violence. Your support certainly helps provide safety and security for these women, but your kindness and generosity also helps instill a sense of self-worth in the women we serve. Thanks to you, they are cared for, and they are reminded that they deserve safety, care, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
We will be sharing more photos from the event very soon, so keep an eye out on this page!
