Executive and Accounting Assistant

This is a temporary position that will end March 31, 2021. If further funding is approved, the position may be extended and/or become permanent.

Serving the community since 1973, Dixon Transition Society helps to reduce the impact of domestic violence by providing a safe haven for women and children. The Executive Assistant will uphold Dixon’s feminist values and support our mission.

The Executive Assistant will support the Executive Director with administrative tasks and other duties as required. The Assistant will also handle all incoming and outgoing invoices, assist with Accounts Payable, and all other accounting related needs. The Assistant will also support the Manager with personnel-related tasks such as onboarding new staff and enrollment of staff in Dixon’s benefit plans.

Qualifications and Competencies: This position requires an individual who possesses a diploma or education in a related field, with experience in administrative and accounting tasks. The candidate should be able to prioritize and organize, establish and maintain rapport with colleagues and stakeholders, and communicate effectively. Knowledge of software such as Office 365, Receipt Bank, and QuickBooks are preferred.

Working Conditions: The Assistant works 5 days/week (32.5 hours) in an office environment, Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends per operational requirements.

Compensation: $22.79/hr
