The women and children of Dixon need you to help keep the child support program alive. The funding for this program, which in the past was partly provided by United Way of Lower Mainland, is about to be eliminated entirely.
We need $25,000 to keep this vital program running. You can select “Meeting the Needs of Children” or “Where it is needed most” if you would like your donation to go towards investing in the future of the children we serve.
More than just a place to live. Dixon Transition Society Housing Programs are the start of a new life.
Dixon Transition Society has been providing services to women and children survivors of domestic violence for over 45 years. We recognize how profound the impact of violence is on the lives of the women and children we serve, and we are committed to helping them rebuild their lives and break free from the cycle of violence.
Providing free and affordable housing options is essential to breaking the cycle of violence, especially in the Lower Mainland where housing costs can be a prohibitive economic barrier. Dixon Transition Society offers a transition house, and second and third stage housing to address a range of support women and children may need.
Because the impact of domestic violence is vast and complex, we recognize the importance of a holistic approach to programming. Therefore, in addition to housing, women and children have access to a continuum of services like housing assistance, children’s support programs, counselling and much more.
Our promise to you is to continue our exceptional support services for women and children fleeing domestic violence. You make this possible through your gift. Join Dixon Transition Society as we ensure that women and children have the resources and support they need to start over.
