Weekly Grocery Shopping
Do you enjoy shopping? Are you passionate about helping women and children who have been impacted by violence? If you are, then this is the perfect volunteer position for you!
The Volunteer Grocery Shopper will be in charge of purchasing (at no cost to her) the food and basic household items for Dixon Transition Society’s housing program.
The Responsibilities of the Volunteer Grocery Shopper Include:
• Appearing at the appointed meeting place in a timely manner
• Assisting in the selection of nutritious, economical groceries based on the grocery list provided
• The loading and unloading of groceries to the vehicle
Qualifications:
• Is at least 19 years of age
• Has a clear understanding of confidentiality
• Is reliable and committed
• Is passionate about helping women and children impacted by violence

• References are available from the volunteer manager
Other Requirements:
• Has a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Must sign a confidentiality agreement
• References are required
